Daniel D’Arcangelis

DanDarc Designs is owned and operated by Daniel D’Arcangelis.  Dan is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, but after shoveling one-too-many driveways, he moved to Tallahassee, Florida in January 2008.  Dan has over ten years of professional Information Technology experience in enterprise level programming and administration.

After graduating from Portage Northern High School in 2001, Daniel attended Michigan State University on a full-ride academic scholarship.  A few years and countless late nights at the Engineering Building later, he graduated with degrees in Accounting and Computer Science and promptly began work as a programmer and later system administrator at Auto-Owners’ Insurance in Lansing, MI.  In 2008, he took those skills and went back to programming as an IT Consultant in Tallahassee, FL.

When he’s not working at his day job, Dan enjoys hockey, playing viola in the Big Bend Community Orchestra, and ballroom dancing (or trying to at least).  After updating the BBCO’s website, he decided to launch DanDarc Designs to bring quality websites to businesses and organizations of all sizes.

Programming – I have worked professionally with COBOL, CICS, PHP, Java, VB.NET and C#.NET.  In college I also did extensive C++ coding.

Data – I have worked professionally with Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, ADABAS, VSAM files, and Flat file data stores.

Administration – I was a website administrator using IBM Websphere Application Server on z/OS.  I also administer several WordPress websites.  I have also served as a SQL Server administrator.

Learning – While all of the above skills may sound impressive, my number one skill is now and always has been learning and learning quickly.  I will pick up any skill I need for your website if I don’t already have it.
